A calmer setup for everyday holding

Nido Team · April 28, 2026

A quieter place to begin: prepare your seat, keep essentials nearby, and make room for a handover.

Some days revolve around small things: a clean cloth, somewhere to sit, another pair of hands.

There is no single setup that works for every parent. These simple planning ideas are a place to start, not posture treatment or medical advice.

Get ready before you settle in

Choose a seat where you can sit comfortably and stay alert. Put the things you expect to need nearby before picking up your baby: a muslin, your phone, a drink kept out of baby’s reach.

The aim is not to create a picture-perfect corner. It is to avoid discovering that everything you need is across the room.

Leave room to pause

A comfortable chair does not make an endless hold comfortable. When you need a break, ask another caregiver to take over if someone is available. Explain what you need without feeling that you have to earn the pause.

If holding is painful or uncomfortable, seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional. A product description cannot tell you what is right for your body.

Where Nido fits

Nido is a soft baby holding support for seated, awake, supervised moments. It sits between your forearms while your arms and hands keep your baby securely supported.

It is not a carrier, is not hands-free, and does not correct posture or replace your hold. It is not a sleep product.

Read how to use Nido, or try the caregiver checklist for a few things to arrange together.
